Multiple fire crews have attended a fire which spread across a small number of properties in East Staffordshire yesterday (Thursday 31 March).

Firefighters from Longton, Tutbury, Burton-upon-Trent, Cheadle, Hanley and Ipstones were called to an address near Mill Street, Rocester, at 7pm.

Upon attendance, crews discovered a fire involving three properties.

No one was reported injured.

Staffordshire Police helped to evacuate nearby residents on Church Lane and Abbey Road.

An aerial ladder platform, three main jets, two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus were used by crews to contain the fire to a confined area.

The fire was successfully extinguished shortly before 3am.

A thermal scan of the area was conducted in order to ensure residents were able to return to their homes safely.
