Firefighters tackle serious flat fire

Fire fighters have tackled a serious flat fire in Stafford.

Crews were called to a property on Dewsbury Crescent, Stafford at around 5.40am on Thursday (30 December).

Fire fighters from Cannock, Rising Brook and Stafford attended and found a flat well-alight.

No one was injured.

Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and ventilation equipment to extinguish the fire.

Fire fighters left the scene shortly after 7am on Friday (31 December).

An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing with officers from Staffordshire Police.
