Fire crews were called to extinguish a fire at a derelict building in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews from Biddulph, Hanley, Longton and Newcastle and Staffordshire Police were called just after 1am on Saturday (12 August) to Hope Street, Hanley.

On arrival, we found a derelict building well-alight and used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

The fire was deemed to be cause deliberately and the building has been secured.

Crews were at the scene on Saturday and Sunday (13 August) to work alongside our colleagues at Staffordshire Police.

The incident has since been left with police.
