Firefighters attend car fire

Firefighters were called to Acton Street, Stoke-on-Trent, at 4.50am this morning (Thursday 8 September) following reports of a car fire.

A crew from Hanley attended as did Staffordshire Police.

On arrival, the crew found a silver Fiat van well-alight.

One breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire was deemed to be a deliberate ignition.

The crew left the scene just before 7.15am.

The incident has been left with police.
