Fire crews rescue trapped dog

Firefighters have rescued a dog from thick undergrowth in Stafford.

We were called to Astonfields Balancing Lakes on Sandon Road on Wednesday (30 April) at 11.40pm after family pet, Eddie, went missing.

With the help of his best friend Teddy barking and Eddie replying, firefighters located him in dense undergrowth, where he had been stuck for around four hours.

Just before 12.40am, Eddie was brought to safety by Stafford Blue Watch and returned to his delighted owner.
