Fire crews extinguish wooden barn fire

We have extinguished a wooden barn fire in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Crews got a call just after 2am on Saturday (11 May) to a field on Lymes Road, Butterton, and went there along with colleagues from Staffordshire Police.

Hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and no one was injured.

We later deemed the fire to be deliberate.

The incident has been left with Staffordshire Police.
