Fire crews extinguish fire at disused factory

We have extinguished a fire at a disused factory in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews from Hanley, Longton and Sandyford went to Old Town Road, Hanley, at 7.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 20 February) and found a fire on the ground floor of the factory.

A hose reel jet was used to put out the fire just after 7.45pm.

No one was injured.

Following an investigation, the fire was deemed to be caused deliberately.

The incident has been left with Staffordshire Police.
