Factory fire at Bramshall Industrial Estate

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service (FARS) were called to reports of a factory fire in Bramshall Industrial Estate, Bramshall at 10:20pm on Wednesday 30 September.

Employees in a metal spraying factory were evacuated due to an active fire alarm and reports of smoke. FARS attended the scene with five pumps and employed offensive tactics on the fire, which was approximately 15m by 25m in diameter.

Ten brigade vehicles, five acting pumps and three officer cars attended the scene from Stafford, Uttoxeter, Longton, Cheadle, Rising Brook and Tutbury stations.

At 12:20am the following morning (Thursday 30 September), a stop message was issued after firefighters had successfully controlled the fire. At 9:27am, FARS carried out a reinspection of the factory using thermal scanning and concluded the incident was closed.

An investigation into the cause is currently underway.
