Crews remain at scene of house fire

Fire crews remain at the scene of a house fire in Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, this afternoon.

Fire fighters were called at 9.32am on Thursday (2 September) to Upper Belgrave Road.

Crews from Hanley, Newcastle and two from Longton attended and found fire in the first floor of a semi-detached house.

One female casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service and conveyed to hospital for further assessment.

Fire fighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which was out by 11.35am.

Crews from Longton remain at the scene.
