Crews help drivers stuck in flood water

Fire crews have helped free three drivers stuck in flood water in the Stourbridge area.

Firefighters were called to The Stewponey, Stourbridge, at 10pm on Monday (5 September).

Crews from Kinver and Tamworth attended as did Staffordshire Police.

On arrival, crews found a blue Ford, a white BMW and a grey Vauxhall stuck in flood water.

The drivers and sole occupants of each car were helped out of their vehicles by crews.

No one was reported injured.

The cars were later recovered from the scene.

Crews left the scene at around 10.45pm.

The road was later reopened by officers from Staffordshire Police.
