Simulative fire exercise to take place next week

Our firefighters are set to take part in a simulated fire exercise in Stafford next week.

On Tuesday 30 September, fire crews will practice rescuing a team of actors and volunteers from a tall building on Tipping Street.

The exercise will begin at 9am and fire engines will be parked around the area.

Delivery Group Manager, Dave Steele, said: "These exercises are crucial for firefighters to improve key skills should they ever need to be put into practice.

"We will ensure to keep any disruption to a minimum and no road closures are planned for the duration of the exercise."
