Firefighters tackle large fuel fire
Firefighters have extinguished a large fire involving around 3,000 litres of fuel in north Staffordshire.
We were called at 11.30pm on Sunday (19 October) to a farm near Honeysuckle Lane, Longsdon, following reports of a large fire.
Five appliances attended the scene and found a large fuel storage area well alight.
At the height of the incident, around 3,000 litres of diesel was involved.
Firefighters used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, and nobody was reported injured.
Crews remained at the scene until 9.30am on Tuesday (21 October) to monitor and dampen down any hotspots.
Following an investigation, the fire was deemed to have been caused accidentally.
