Firefighters rescue trapped deer

Firefighters have helped to rescue a deer which was trapped in a fence in east Staffordshire.

Crews were called at 4.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 16 December) to Wood Edge Lane, Marchington, following reports of a trapped animal.

Firefighters attended the scene and found a deer trapped in fencing with minor injuries.

The deer was released from the fence before it fled into a nearby forest.
