Firefighters extinguish large shed fire

Firefighters have extinguished a fire inside a large storage shed in Stoke-on-Trent today (Friday 22 August).

We were called just before 3am to a business off Meir Road, Normacot, following reports of a fire.

Three appliances attended the scene and found a large storage shed well alight.

Crews used two main jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and nobody was reported injured.

The fire was deemed to have been caused accidentally and crews left the scene at 5.45am.
