Firefighters extinguish fire above business

Firefighters have extinguished a large fire above a business in Stafford.

We were called just before 3.30am on Saturday (27 September) to Market Square, Stafford, following reports of flames coming from a three-storey building.

Four appliances attended the scene and found a wooden outbuilding in the roof of a building well alight.

Crews used a main jet to extinguish the fire and nobody was reported injured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.

Crews left the scene at around 11am.
