Fire investigation underway following hotel fire

An investigation into the cause of a fire at a hotel in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday is underway.

We were called at 2.18pm on Saturday (28 June) to The Crown Hotel in Longton following reports of smoke coming from a window.

Three crews and an aerial ladder platform attended the scene. No one was hurt.

The fire was put out by 2.40pm.

This morning, Sunday (29 June), a crew has conducted a re-inspection of the site and launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Police.

Inquiries are continuing.
