Firefighters have extinguished a large grass fire in Stoke-on-Trent.

We were called at 4.40pm on Friday (22 August) to Berry Hill Fields and Nature Reserve, Arbourfield Drive, following reports of a fire.

Three appliances attended the scene and found three large seats of fire.

The fire was extinguished using beaters, backpacks and two hose reel jets.

Nobody was reported injured.

The fire was deemed to have been caused deliberately and the incident was left with colleagues from Staffordshire Police.

Crews left the scene at 8.50pm.
