Fire crews tackle garden blaze

Fire crews have extinguished a fire in a garden in Cheadle which had spread to a derelict property.
We were called at 12.30am today (Thursday 21 August) to King Edward Street following reports of a fire.
Four appliances attended the scene and found a pile of rubbish and trees alight in a back garden. The fire had also spread to a derelict property.
Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and nobody was reported injured.
The fire was later deemed to have been caused accidentally.
Crews left the scene at 9.30am.
