Crews tackle derelict building fire in Stoke

Firefighters have tackled a large fire involving a derelict building in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews were called at 1.10am today (Wednesday 8 April) to Aquinas Street, Stoke, following reports of a fire.

Four appliances and the aerial ladder platform (ALP) attended the scene and found a derelict commercial building well alight.

The fire was extinguished using the ALP and two main jets.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
