Crews tackle accidental house fire in Stone
Firefighters have tackled a house fire in Stone that was caused by an iron being left on the carpet.
Crews were called just before 1pm on Friday 20 March to Newcastle Road following reports of a burning smell coming from a house.
Three appliances attended the scene. Everyone in the house had evacuated before we got there and nobody was reported injured.
Crews extinguished a small fire which was caused by an electric iron being left on the carpet.
Crews completed a home fire safety visit before leaving the scene.
