Crews dampening down following hotel fire

Firefighters are currently dampening down following a fire at The Crown Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent earlier today. 

We were called at 2.18pm on Saturday (28 June) to the hotel on King Street following reports of smoke coming from a window.

A total of three crews and an aerial ladder platform are in attendance.

All residents have been evacuated and no injuries have been reported. 

The fire was extinguished at 2.40pm.

Officers from Staffordshire Police are assisting with traffic management. 

Crews remain at the scene dampening down. 

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.
