Be Warm, Be Safe reminder after crews called to caravan

We are reminding people to be warm, be safe, after the use of wet logs caused an incident inside a caravan in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews were called at 5.10pm on Friday (20 March) to Kendrick Street, Longton, following reports of a large amount of smoke coming from a caravan.

Two appliances attended the scene and found the smoke had been caused by wet logs being placed onto a fire.

Nobody was reported injured.

Crews fitted smoke alarms before leaving the scene at 5.50pm.
