Stoke-on-Trent wildfire extinguished

Crews have extinguished a wildfire involving grass and shrubland in Stoke-on-Trent.

We were called at 2.30pm yesterday (Thursday 23 July) to Causeley Road in Bucknall following reports of a fire.

Six appliances attended the scene and found an area of grass and shrubland measuring approximately 200 metres by 200 metres well alight.

The fire was extinguished and thankfully nobody was reported injured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.
