Six weeks to go ahead of fun-filled family open day in Tamworth

We’ve only got six weeks to go ahead of our fun-filled family open day at Tamworth Belgrave fire station this summer.
The station, on Marlborough Way, will be opening its doors to the local community from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 21 June and there is something for all the family taking place.
Visitors will get the opportunity to meet the people keeping you safe every day, witness live safety demos and enjoy fairground rides, face painting and inflatables.
There will also be opportunities to chat with our firefighters and partner organisations to learn more about how we deliver community safety across Tamworth.
Station Manager, Danielle Coleman, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the community into our station this summer.
“Lots of hard work has gone into organising the event and ensuring that there is something for everyone.
“The event is completely free to attend but any money raised on the day will be donated to the Fire Fighters Charity, who work to support current and former firefighters across the UK.
“We also have a food bank donation point so if people are able to bring any cereals, soup, pasta sauces, tins, UHT milk, toilet roll or other long-last items it would be much appreciated.
“We can’t wait to see you all there!”
