Sheep rescued from river

Crews have rescued a sheep which got stuck in a river in Stafford.

We were called at 3.35pm on Sunday (11 October) to the River Trent, off the A51 in Colwich, following reports that a sheep had got stuck.

Firefighters put on dry suits and entered the river to rescue the sheep, which was then left in the care of a farmer.

Crews left the scene at around 5.30pm.
