Meet your local team at the Cannock Community Fire Station Wellbeing Event

Meet your local team at the Cannock Community Fire Station Wellbeing Event

As part of our Be Warm, Be Safe campaign, we are inviting our local residents to our "Meet the Team" event next week.

Between 1pm and 4pm on Monday (22 January), Cannock Community Fire Station will be opening its doors for Chicken and a Chat. It is a drop-in session, so there is no need to book.

As the cold weather continues throughout the winter, our White Watch crew will be on hand to offer guidance about how to stay warm safely. They will also answer your general fire safety questions and provide advice about smoke alarms in the home.

Meanwhile, members of our prevent team will be giving away free winter warm packs to our most vulnerable.

Alongside this will be a range of leaflets about how you can keep your home fire safe.

We will also have a healthcare assistant there to offer blood pressure tests.

KFC Cannock Orbital will be kindly providing chicken rice meals and salads. We will also have hot and cold drinks available.

We hope that the event will also give local people the chance to get out of the house and to have a chat, a bite to eat and a drink in a warm and safe location.

Sarah Smith, Station Manager at Cannock Community Fire Station, said: "As the cold weather continues to take hold, our need to reach out to the community is significantly heightened.

"The aim of the both the campaign and this event is to remind people about the importance and ways of staying warm safely this winter.

“We are looking forward to welcoming residents to the station on Monday and reinforcing the Be Warm, Be Safe messaging.”
