Man rescued from scaffolding

We have successfully rescued a man who fell while on scaffolding in Stafford.

Multiple crews went to Newport Road at around 3.10pm today (Monday 23 September) and found a man, aged in his 50s, injured on scaffolding around four metres from the ground.

He was brought to safety by firefighters using specialist equipment, including ropes and the aerial ladder platform (ALP).

Our colleagues from Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also there.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
