Man and woman rescued from pond
Two people were brought to safety by our crews after falling into a pond in Cannock on Sunday (28 June).
We were called at 12.30am to Woodpecker Way following reports that two people were stuck in a pond.
Two appliances attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
A man and a woman were rescued from the water and left in the care of paramedics.
Crew Manager Matt Setterfield attended the scene. He said: “Thankfully, the man and woman were not seriously injured but I would urge people to take care when walking near water, especially in the dark.
“The water is often a lot colder than you expect, which can make it harder to swim, and there are hidden dangers.”
