Large waste fire deemed to be accidental

Fire investigators have deemed a large waste fire in Stoke-on-Trent to have been caused accidentally.

We were called to a business premises on Chemical Lane, Longport, at around 11.45pm on Tuesday 3 June.

Over two days, a total of 28 appliances attended the scene and our aerial ladder platform was used to extinguish the blaze.

Nobody was reported injured.

Following an investigation, the fire was deemed to have been caused accidentally.
