Firefighters rescue swan from frozen lake

We rescued a swan which was stuck in a frozen lake near Stafford over the weekend.  

A specialist water rescue team from Newcastle went to a lake on Wedgwood Drive, Barlaston, just before 6.30pm on Saturday (2 December).

The swan had become stuck in frozen water and was helped by safety by crews.

Thankfully, the swan was rescued and released.  

We left the scene a short time later.
