Firefighters extinguish garden shed fire

Firefighter coming out of cloud of smoke

Firefighters have extinguished a garden shed fire caused deliberately in Stafford.

A crew from Stafford were called to a home on North Castle Street, Castletown, just before 6pm on Thursday (24 August).

We found a garden shed well alight and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire by 6.25pm.

Shortly after, the cause of the fire was deemed to be deliberate.

It follows a spate of deliberate fires on the same street over the last few months, which Staffordshire Police are actively investigating.

After liaising with police colleagues, firefighters left the scene just after 6.45pm.
