Fire fighters attend combine harvester fire

Fire fighters were called at 5.32pm on Tuesday (7 September) to Penstone Lane in Lower Penn following reports of a large vehicle on fire.

Crews from Tettenhall, Wolverhampton and Cannock attended and found a small fire in a combine harvester on a field.

Fighters used one hose reel jet and a knapsack to extinguish the fire which was later deemed accidental.

One casualty, a man aged 52, suffered superficial burns to the wrist on his right arm, however, he declined first aid treatment.

Crews left the scene at 6.40pm.
