Fire crews tackle barn fire
Around 30 firefighters and specialist crews attended a barn fire in Trysull at the weekend.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a farm on Feiashill Road, at around 9.15pm on Saturday (9 April).
Crews including Penkridge, Chase Terrace, Wombourne and Kinver tackled the blaze with support from West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) firefighters.
They used a main jet and hose reel jets with a water bowser to bring the fire under control. No animals were harmed.
Western Power were also called in to isolate the power supply, which impacted nearby houses and street lighting for a short time.
The fire was extinguished at around 6.30am on Sunday (10 April) and an investigation into the cause is underway.
