Dates confirmed for two fun-filled fire station open days
Two fire stations are preparing to open their doors to the local community for two fun-filled family open days this summer.
Open days are due to take place at Burton Community Fire Station, Moor Street, on Saturday 20 June and at Longton Community Fire Station, Uttoxeter Road, on Saturday 11 July.
Both events are free to attend and take place between 11am and 4pm with a sensory-friendly hour between 11am and 12pm.
From live demonstrations, activities, food stalls and fairground rides, there is something for all the family.
We will also have a recruitment stand for people interested in becoming a firefighter.
Community Engagement Officer, Adam Brunt, said: “These events are the perfect opportunity for people to learn how we support the local community, chat with partner organisations and get to know their local crew.
“There will be a wide range of activities and entertainment, and all profits will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, who offer lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community.
“We can’t wait to welcome the community and enjoy the open day together.”
