Crews tackle fire involving multiple vehicles

Firefighters have tackled a fire involving multiple vehicles in south Staffordshire.

We were called at 1.20am today (Tuesday 8 September) to a yard off Cannock Road, Featherstone, following reports of a fire.

Three appliances attended the scene and found a caravan, a light goods vehicle and a trailer well alight.

The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and a main jet.

Crews also used specialist access equipment carried by our enhanced rescue pump to access the trailer and extinguish a fire inside.

Thankfully nobody was reported injured.

Crews remained at the scene overnight to monitor and extinguish any hotspots.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.
