Crews tackle fire at flats

We have tackled a fire at a block of flats in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent this morning (Wednesday 11 September).

Multiple crews responded after we were called at 4am to reports of a fire on Brookwood Drive.

Residents of the flats have been evacuated and all residents are accounted for.

A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation using fast flow oxygen at the scene and have been taken to hospital for treatment.

A joint investigation into the cause of the fire is underway with Staffordshire Police.
