Crews tackle deliberate fire in derelict building

Firefighters have tackled a fire at a derelict building in Stoke-on-Trent.

We were called at 7.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 August) to High Street in Tunstall following reports of smoke coming from a building.

Three appliances and our aerial ladder platform (ALP) attended the scene and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Thankfully, nobody was reported injured.

The cause of the fire was deemed to be deliberate and the incident has been left with colleagues from Staffordshire Police.
