Crews extinguish kitchen fire at bingo hall

We were called to the site on Guild Street at around 11.30am yesterday (29 January).

Three crews, all from Burton, went to the scene.

The fire started in a fryer in the kitchen and spread to the extractor/ventilation system. It was contained in one room and was put out shortly after we got there.

Nobody is believed to have been injured during the blaze.
