Crews extinguish fire at Burton-upon-Trent business

Fire crews have extinguished a large fire at a business in Burton-upon-Trent.

We were called to a premises off Nicolson Way at 11.50pm on Thursday (1 May) following reports of smoke coming from a building.

Six appliances attended the scene and found a large fire in a picking station at a skip hire company.

Breathing apparatus and three main jets were used to extinguish the fire.

Nobody was reported injured and crews left the scene at around 7am on Friday (2 May).

The fire was later deemed to have been caused accidentally.
