Crews attend house fire

Firefighters were called to an address off Strauss Drive, Cannock, at 3pm on Wednesday (1 February) following reports of a house fire.

Crews from Burton, Cannock and Lichfield attended as did our colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service.

On arrival, crews found a fire located in a bedroom at the property.

All persons were accounted for.

A woman was treated at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

A cat was also rescued by fire crews.

We remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.
