Fri May 16 Driving Down Deaths on the Roads|
Burton Firefighters in conjunction with East Staffordshire Road Safety Task Group are launching a new road safety initiative to drive down the number of deaths on the roads.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are promoting fire safety in the home by placing a display board inside Tesco in Trent Vale.
|Wed May 14 Wombourne Refurbishment Begins!|
Refurbishment work has this week started on Wombourne Fire Station. Eventually all fire stations in the County will be either rebuilt or refurbished and Wombourne Fire Station is second in line, with Cheadle Fire Station’s refurbishment starting last month.

April has seen a new ‘Student Firefighter Course’ commence in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Based at Leek Fire Station, the framework is professionally designed to enhance confidence, team building, problem solving, and personal development amongst youngsters aged 13-16.

Firefighters from Lichfield and Tamworth have attended a gas explosion on a barge on the Coventry Canal in the Whittington area of Lichfield. The emergency call was received shortly after 11.30am this morning.

At 08:17 on 13 May Fire and Rescue Crews from Hanley and Longton were called to an incident on Mill Lane in Wetley Rocks.
