Firefighters extinguish derelict pub fire

We have extinguished a fire at a derelict pub in south Staffordshire this morning (Thursday 11 April).

Crews went to Cannock Road, Featherstone, just before 10.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 April) and found a derelict pub well-alight.

A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze alongside our new aerial ladder platform (ALP) vehicles.

No one was injured.

The fire was extinguished just after 12am this morning (Thursday 11 April) and fire investigators later deemed the fire to be caused deliberately.

The incident is now with Staffordshire Police.
