Visit us at County Show this half term

May 21 2019

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will be at Staffordshire County Show again this year with one of their brilliant new fire engines.

We are all really looking forward to being at the County Show again this May. Every year we take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to speak to thousands of people and interact with the community we serve and strive to keep safe.

Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant

The show takes place at Staffordshire County Showground, Weston Road, Stafford, on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30.

Visitors to the Service’s stall will get the chance to see the new state of the art Rosenbauer appliance as well as the 4x4 Unimog used to fight wild fires. There will be staff on hand to give safety advice as well as competitions and games.

Welephant will also be making a grand appearance and parents will able to sign their children up to his club if they are aged between four and eight-years-old.

Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant said: “We are all really looking forward to being at the County Show again this May. Every year we take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to speak to thousands of people and interact with the community we serve and strive to keep safe.

“The two days we are at the show are always full of laughter and fun but also some really great life saving advice. This year we will be focusing on fire safety campaigns such as Recipe for Disaster, Get Out Stay Out and SAME.

“Please come to say hello, sit on the appliance and have a go at hook a duck as part of our Wele treasure hunt! We look forward to seeing you there.”
