Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is hosting an event in Tamworth to help keep over sixties safe in their homes.
We really hope to see you there and if you know anyone who you think would benefit from coming along, please ask them to give us a call.
As part of the Safe+Sound project the Service is holding workshops on Monday, April 8, at the Sacred Heart Church on Silverlink Road at 9.30am until 1.30pm with the support of Tamworth Borough Council.
The morning activities will cover Dementia Friend Training fire safety in the home, fraud and cyber crime awareness, life support, CPR, assistive technology in the home and wellbeing.
Educational Manager Helen Wood said: “We are really looking forward to holding the event and having the opportunity to chat to some local residents over a cuppa.
“There will be a wealth of helpful advice and tips to not just help people to say safe, but also with day-to-day life. The workshops will cover both physical and mental health and give members of the public the chance to come and speak to us and our partners including Staffordshire Police.
“We really hope to see you there and if you know anyone who you think would benefit from coming along, please ask them to give us a call.”
