Annual audit letter
Our external auditors are Grant Thornton. As part of their code of practice, each year they issue Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority an audit Letter. This summarises the findings of their audit of our financial statements and their assessment of our performance management.

Statement of accounts
Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority has issued its final Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2016. The Statement of Accounts includes a narrative statement, a statement of responsibilities, the financial statements, the annual government statement and the independent auditors report.

Transparency


Supplier payments
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is the first Fire Authority to publish items of spend over £500 as part of the new transparency arrangements for local government, in response to the recent paper issued by Eric Pickles MP. As of April 2016, supplier payments will include spends over £250.
