Privacy Policy and Disclaimer statement

The detail contained within this ‘Privacy Policy’ relates to the official corporate website of the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and to its responsible body, the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority (referred to hereafter as SFRA), and branded as www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk.

We wish to treat your privacy rights seriously and in relation to our website, we will use your personal information to process enquiries, compliments or complaints, competitions or any orders that you wish to make using our corporate website, www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk.

Our site is stored by an external third party contractor who will support us in providing the service to you

Telephone system

The Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service telephone system has a feature which enables all incoming and outgoing telephone calls to be recorded. Call recordings are stored in a secure location which is situated on the network server.  Staff and members of the public are advised that all telephone calls are recorded and monitored for the purposes of quality assurance, security and training. A management document is available to all staff which advises them of current policy.

The length of time the information is held

We will retain personal information on our systems, for the length of time it takes us to provide the service to you.

On completion of this service provision and provided the process has run smoothly, we will then remove that information and destroy it.

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Surveys and Public Consultations

In our pursuit of ever more effective service provision we may offer you the opportunity to participate in surveys or consultations in relation to local and national Fire Service issues.

Whether such contacts are made with you by the SFRA or its agents, a record of the information provided by you will be kept by the SFRA and will not be released to any external third parties outside the SFRA without first obtaining your consent, unless we are required by law to disclose certain information.

Under 16s

If you are under 16, please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information on-line to our corporate website.

Users without this consent must not provide us with personal information.

Technical Information – Cookies
