Work Experience

Each year young people request work experience placements within Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The aim of our work experience programme is to enable pupils and students experience real work situations and relate them to their school course, identifying and developing skills in the process.

Requests for placements

Work experience placements will be offered to young people from various schools and colleges across the County. There are several ways to request work experience, you can either write in at the address below:-

Upon receipt of your request, the work experience co-ordinator will write back to you to tell you if your request has been successful. Due to availability and resource capabilities the amount of students accepted in any one year has to be limited, and we therefore cannot guarantee every request will be successful.

Work experience – Firefighter

A firefighting practical skills course is available, however this is organised on our behalf by Staffordshire Partnership.
