Creating Safer Staffordshire Header Logo

At the heart of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority’s service development programme is the Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP). Fire and Rescue Authorities are required to produce an updated IRMP each year as stipulated in the Fire and Rescue National Framework.

The Authority has a well established modern programme for service development based upon delivering a strategy for:

  • Reducing the number and severity of fires, road traffic accidents and other emergency incidents
  • Reducing the severity of injuries in fires, road traffic accidents and other emergency incidents
  • Reducing the commercial, economic and social impact of fires and other emergency incidents
  • Safeguarding the environment and heritage and
  • Providing value for money.
