and had a conducted tour of the construction site for the planned Regional Control Centre.
When completed the new Regional Control Centre for the West Midlands will be part of nine networked regional control centres
serving the whole of England. The new centre, at Wolverhampton Business Park will replace the region’s existing five control
rooms based at the individual Fire and Rescue Services. Work began on the site in the summer, and it is scheduled for completion
in December 2007.
