Your Local Fire Stations

Find your nearest fire station in Staffordshire

We currently have 30 fire stations in Staffordshire; however this will increase to 33 stations by the end of 2011. See our community fire stations section for more details.

Our County is split into nine area commands which reflect the areas covered by our local borough/district councils and the City council in Stoke-on-Trent.

We have three types of fire station: retained, day crewed and wholetime.

Retained stations
At retained stations firefighters are on call within the immediate area around the station – either at home or at their workplace. Within five minutes of their pager alerting they are required to be at the station and on the engine ready to attend an incident.

Day crewed stations
At day crewed station firefighters are based on station during the day, however at night the stations move to being retained and firefighters respond within five minutes when they are alerted by pager.

Wholetime stations
At wholetime stations firefighters are based on station 24/7.
